Experience the diverse cultures, landscapes, food and wines of Spain. Guided by an English speaking culinary guide, a just-right sized group of foodies* will join a chef for a visit to the colorful Boqueria Market in Barcelona, enjoy hands-on cooking lessons including a unique class at a famed Gastronomic Society in San Sebastian, taste and learn about Spain’s Rioja and Cava wines and more. Ibérico ham and sherry are on the menu and of course, Tapas and Paella.

MADRID

Check in at your 4* hotel, located in the heart of Madrid’s historic center. Enjoy a welcome drink with tapas while you meet your English-speaking local culinary guide. Overnight: Madrid.

MADRID

Guided walking tour of Madrid; Ibérico ham & sherry themed lunch featuring products famous Ibérico pig (ham, charcuterie and meats), paired with selected sherry wines. The afternoon is at your leisure. In the evening, you'll enjoy a traditional Andalusian dinner followed by Flamenco show at Casa Patas, considered the Mecca of Flamenco singing and dancing in Madrid. LA RIOJA & SAN SEBASTIAN

Private bus transfer to La Rioja wine region, stopping on the way for a coffee/drink. Visit to a family-run winery to enjoy a private Rioja wine tasting, followed by a traditional “Riojan” lunch in the winery. Continue to San Sebastian - check in at a 4* hotel themed around San Sebastian’s famous International Film Festival. Overnight: San Sebastian; Meals: B, L

SAN SEBASTIAN

Private Basque cooking class at a Gastronomic Society with lunch included. A perfect way to experience these traditional members-only cooking clubs, unique to the Basque Country. The afternoon will be spent at your leisure. On the plate for the evening is a guided walking tour of San Sebastian, followed by a tasting of the famous “Pintxos”, the Basque version of Tapas. BILBAO & BARCELONA

 

In the morning ​you'll travel by private bus to Bilbao for a guided visit to the Guggenheim Museum. Lunch with a modern twist at a gastro-bar run by a talented “Basque” chef born in the UK.  We'll continue on to Bilbao airport for a flight to Barcelona. Upon arrival, you'll be transfered to your 4* hotel, located within walking distance from Barcelona’s vibrant Rambla. After some "R&R", we'll re-group late afternoon for guided walking tour of Barcelona’s historic center. Overnight: Barcelona; Meals: B, L

Visit to the colorful Boqueria Food Market with a local chef, the perfect warm up for a private hands-on Mediterranean cooking class with a special focus on olive oils – different varieties and culinary uses – followed by lunch. SITGES CAVA EXCURSION & BARCELONA

In the morning, we will venture to the beautiful coastal town of Sitges to explore and then learn everything about Cava – the famous Spanish sparkling wine. The day’s activities include visiting a small winery for a private tutored Cava tasting and lunch. Afterwards, it’s back to Barcelona for leisure time and later, a farewell dinner enjoying an authentic Paella by the harbor. Overnight: Barcelona; Meals: B, L, D
